Bio of Dave Kline

Dave Kline is a Washington, DC based fiery electric and acoustic violinist, creating an impact with his fresh take on fiddling. A transplanted Brit, Dave has been performing since 1972, sharing the stage with the likes of Dwight Yoakam, Chick Corea and Veronneau. Dave's music has been featured on NPR and DC's local station WUMC. Dave and his band, the aptly named Dave Kline Band have been making waves in Washington, DC since 2002.  A regular guest of Veronneau on stage and in the studio, Dave has appeared on two of their CD releases Joie de Vivre, which was featured in the US top 10 charts for World and Jazz music and Snow Time, which won the Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) WAMMIE award for Best Jazz Album, 2014 (Dave also engineered and co-produced this album). CBC Music recognized Dave’s violin “gypsy jazz” as adding “color and depth” to Veronneau’s energetic sound. You can also find Dave and his violin on stage with Silver Line Station, a DC based Americana band.

Dave's album, Life's Little Mysteries (2002), succinctly demonstrates the breadth of his original compositions. In 2007, Dave released Eclecticity.

Great music man.
Great tunes and such warm renditions.
So fresh and creative.
